My Review of a Great Pair of Walking Shoes

Updated: Jun 25

As someone who enjoys walking as a form of exercise and an online retailer, I am always on the lookout for a great pair of walking shoes. Recently, I came across a pair that not only met my expectations but exceeded them. These walking shoes have a mesh upper that provides ample breathability, making them perfect for walking in warmer weather. They are also lightweight, affordable, reliable, and have a sleek design that complements any outfit. Additionally, their seamless construction and EVA materials ensure that they offer optimal comfort and support. In this blog post, I’ll be sharing my product review of these remarkable walking shoes - so keep reading to discover why I highly recommend them! Buy them here on headpointe.com

What are they made of?

Let's begin with the shoe construction. As it is with all high-quality running and walking shoes, comfort and durability are important elements that are usually expected in their construction. Take, for example, the Hoka Gaviota 4. This walking shoe is top of the line with all the features I was looking for except the price. Too high! I loved all the features of the shoe, but I was not willing to pay $170.

I recently had the pleasure of testing out a pair of walking shoes that truly exceeded my expectations. The shoes have a sleek and modern design, but it's their technical features that make them stand out. First and foremost, the shoes have excellent arch support which is crucial for anyone who spends long hours on their feet. They also have a roomy toe box, allowing for optimal circulation and preventing any discomfort. The outsole is engineered for optimal traction on a variety of surfaces, and the midsole is cushioned for added comfort.

What truly sets these walking shoes apart, however, is the attention to detail in their construction. They're made with high-quality materials and designed for maximum durability, meaning they'll last just as long as those Hoka's I mentioned earlier. I would also like to talk about EVA material and why it was a factor in my decision to buy myself a pair, and eventually sell them in my store. EVA, or Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, is a type of thermoplastic material that is commonly used in the manufacturing of a wide range of products. This material is known for its excellent durability, flexibility, and resistance to impact and chemicals. It is also lightweight and has great cushioning properties, making it an ideal material for use in shoes, sports equipment, and protective gear.

EVA materials

EVA material is made by combining ethylene and vinyl acetate monomers together, which results in a semi-transparent, rubber-like substance. The level of vinyl acetate used in the mixture determines the properties of the final product - a higher percentage of vinyl acetate will result in a softer and more flexible material, while a lower percentage will result in a more rigid and durable material.

EVA has become a popular choice in various industries due to its versatility and cost-effectiveness. It can be easily molded into different shapes and can be customized with different colors and additives to improve its properties. EVA is also eco-friendly, as it can be recycled and reused in the manufacturing process. With all the other features of the shoe, plus the EVA sole, after my first walk/run I was convinced the shoe was a winner.

However, I doubt that you will see these shoes mentioned or reviewed by any of the big names like GearLab or BackCountry, or REI and that's mainly because they have their multi-million dollar marketing contracts with big names like Nike, Reebok, Oboz, Hoka, and Merrill that must be adhered to. But a small operator like me can buy whatever shoe I want, and put it on my website, even if it's not one of the popular brands.

When I buy products for my e-Commerce store, my main objective is quality and an affordable price. I have nothing against all the big-name brands out there, but they live in their own "ecosystem" where they control the environment. Their slick commercials and million-dollar advertising campaigns have convinced consumers that only their brands are synonymous with quality. I don't live in that world and neither does my audience.

Overall, I highly recommend these walking shoes for both professionals and avid walkers. They provide unparalleled support, comfort, and function without sacrificing style. Give them a try, and you won't be disappointed.
